Qi Gong

I received a Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, California, which was a four year comprehensive program in both Acupuncture and Herbs. Previously, I received a BA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: The Science and Art of Healing, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. I have also trained at the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong in Pacific Grove, California. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland, a Diplomate in Acupuncture as certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and an active member of the Bowie Crofton Holistic Community. I am also a Medical Qi Gong practitioner and a Reiki Master.
How I became interested in acupuncture...

Growing up, I had terrible asthma. If it wasn’t a cold or the flu, then it was bronchitis. In fact, it seemed like I was sick more often than not. Doctors would only prescribe antibiotics, killing the bacteria, but doing nothing to improve my immunity and overall well-being. I read every book on healing that I could find, and fell in love with Chinese medicine. My first experience with acupuncture was amazing! I knew instantly that I wanted to be an acupuncturist. Those days of being sick all the time are behind me. I am proof that acupuncture works!
